Haskell Tutor
USCS2011
At the school we will perform an experiment with an [[http://ideas.cs.uu.nl/ProgTutor/][online tutor for Haskell]]. The tutor offers a number of exercises, which you can try to solve. It checks intermediate solutions, and can give hints on how to proceed, and even worked out solutions. The tutor assumes you have a basic knowledge of Haskell (lists and recursion), and targets starting students. We don't expect the tutor to be useful to students with advanced knowledge of Haskell, but you can of course try it out. The tutor itself is a Haskell program, and is described in detail in [[http://people.cs.uu.nl/johanj/homepage/Publications/CEFP/][lecture notes for the Central European Functional Programming School]]. We will briefly introduce the tutor in the lecture on Monday (14-16), so that you can work with it in the lab session from 16-17:30. Participating in the experiment is not obligatory, but we think the tutor supports your learning process, so we expect it to be useful to you. It will also be useful to us, because it helps us to improve the tutor, and further develop it. We will hand out questionnaires at the labs: please fill these out, and hand them in on Tuesday. Thanks for your contribution! [[http://people.cs.uu.nl/johanj/homepage/][Johan Jeuring]] and [[http://www.haksell.org/][Alex Gerdes]]
