You should have received an email with the confirmation of your registration for the ST wiki. The email tells you your user name (usually your first and last name concatenated) and your password. * [[http://www.cs.uu.nl/groups/ST/twiki/bin/view/TWiki/ChangePassword][Change your password]] to one that you can remember Note that the password you were emailed is also used for several other services that you have been registered for (subversion, jira). The wiki account lets you edit pages of the [[Main.WebHome][ST Wiki]] and gives you access to the [[https://wwwsec.cs.uu.nl/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome][IntraWiki]]. The latter site can only be viewed with your wiki account. * Try viewing the [[https://wwwsec.cs.uu.nl/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome][IntraWiki]] main page; type your wikiname and password in the dialog At the <nop>IntraWiki you have your own personal web. * Find your <nop>IntraWiki web in the list of StudentWebHomes and open your <nop>WebHome in a new window. Your personal web should be used to maintain your studyplan, assignments you make for courses, etc. The web is viewable only to yourself and the ST staff. Make sure that your fellow students cannot access the pages (ask your neighbour now). This is important since you will be placing your reviews on your personal web and those should not be readable to other students. In the rest of this assignment you learn the general concepts of Wikis and the features of the TWiki instance we are using. At the end you should fill your personal web with a required set of pages. -------+++ Understanding Wiki Read the 'One-Page Primers' referred to at the [[TWiki.WebHome]] page and make sure to learn all there is to know about TWiki. While reading you can experiment with editing, markup, etc. in your personal web. * From your <nop>WebHome link to the page <nop>WikiSandbox (in your own web) * Make <nop>BookMarks page with links to courses you are going to take -------+++ Decorate your own Web When you know all about TWiki it is time to fill your web with pages you are going to need for the ST program and/or the Software Engineering course. * <nop>WebHome * Pointers to all relevant subpages * <nop>WebContents * Short cuts to important pages shows up in the navigation bar on the left * <nop>StudyPlan * If you are following the ST master program maintain your study plan on this page * List of courses you plan to follow in each period * <nop>WebLog * General log of your activities in ST study * <nop>SweLog * Log of your activitities for the SWE course * What have you been reading * Links to interesting articles/blogs/tutorials/... you encountered * What did you think about it (maybe on a separate page) * What did you contribute to the project * How much time did you spend * <nop>PaperReviews * Overview page with links to all the review pages * Each review should be on a separate page * Use paragraphs and section headers to make structure visible * <nop>WebNews * Maintain an index of noteworthy events
