(preface of my thesis proposal)
During the planning of my thesis work, I focussed on proposing
research that is concrete and useful, relevant to the research area,
and makes use of earlier work by other researchers and students in
this area. The subject of my thesis work, Transformation Tool
Composition, has all these characteristics and will influence future
work in a positive way, because a solid and feature rich component
model will be a good basis for any research in the Program
Transformation area. Interoperability with platforms other than
Stratego/XT will create a doorway to the use of research and
applications in Program Transformation written in, or targeting,
other environments.
