Title: Planning of medication administrations
Abstract
Patients in hospitals often have a lot of different medication prescriptions, in particular in intensive care environments. Each prescription defines, among other things, the daily frequency and each administration has a duration and set of allowed points of entry (iv, oral, etc...).
The start time and entry point have to be scheduled with a set of constraints and an objective in order to provide the best patient care.
This presentation focuses on the problem model of scheduling the administrations and a Constraint Optimization approach for solving the problem.
