Title: Outline of the Proxima Generic XML Editor
Abstract
Proxima is a generic editor that can be used for building a wide range of editors. Sample applications are language specific source editors with derived type information in the source, WYSIWYG document editors, mathematical formula editors, but also tax form applications, or tree browsers.
In the talk, I will discuss what we believe is the reason that other structure editors cannot be used for all of the mentioned applications. I will present an overview of the layered architecture of the Proxima system, and end with a demonstration of the prototype Helium source editor.
