ComputingScienceColloquium Date: June 12 Time: 11am Room: C008 AARD ** our usual room!! ** ----+++ Speaker: Remco Vossen (Masters student) ----+++ Title: Object Persistence in J2EE ----+++ Abstract In my talk I will compare 2 methods of object persistence in J2EE, entity beans and java data objects. Each will be evaluated against a set of criteria (such as query language, object relations, transactions and complexity) and against the use of a relational database. Two applications were developed for this comparison. These will also be discussed. Odds, an online decision support system and XBng, a simple code generator. Odds served as a testbed for both XBng and the above-mentioned technologies.
