Title: Neon, Analyzing errors in Helium
Abstract
Heilum is a framework for learning Haskell. It has been developed at the Utrecht University to aid students in learning Haskell. The part of Helium most students are confronted by is the compiler, which aims to present ``good'' error messages to the user. The framework does more however, like logging each compile by students at the Utrecht University.
Neon has been developed to gather metrics over the logged data. During our talk we will show a number of use cases for the Neon framework and what data we have managed to gather. We shall show a number of metrics regarding development behavior of students and discuss the derivable patterns.
