Date: 2008-02-21 Time: 12.00 Room: BBL room 471 ----+++ Speaker: Erik van Seters ----+++ Title: F# - A Functional Programming Language within the .NET Framework ----+++ Abstract In this presentation I will give an overview of a new ‘functional’ language, designed by Microsoft: F#. F# is designed as a first-class citizen for the .NET framework, which means that it easily can communicate with other .NET languages and access .NET libraries. In will take a look at the differences with OCaml, how the integration of F# is with Visual Studio and how you can access F# from other .NET languages and vice-versa.
