Title: Comparing distributed version control systems
Abstract
Distributed version control systems have been around since the early
1990s but have only recently become mature. In this presentation two
revision control tools of the new generation, which is peer-to-peer in
nature, will be compared to the more traditional version control
systems, represented by Subversion. The presentation will primarily
focus on the ideas behind these tools in order to give a general
understanding of most, if not all, of the current revision control
software available today.
