Title: Buildfarms - an essential tool for successful software projects
Abstract
One of the research projects within the ST group is the
creation of generic buildfarm software. This talk will tell about what a
buildfarm is, how it fits in software methodologies like Extreme
Programming, what its uses are and why you should use it.
Even though a buildfarm might seem trivial there are a lot of issues that
should be taken into account when making a buildfarm. Some special
attention will be given to the current implementation of the buildfarm in
the ST-lab, how it can be used and what the near future will hopefully
bring.
