Preparing For The Program
Master
Since we are getting quite some students form Dutch Polytecnic schools (HIO, Technische Informatica), we have scheduled two of our Bachelor Computer Science courses in the fist half year, so they can be followed as part of a Minor-program at an HBO-institution. The two courses which do prepare optimally for the ST-master program are: * [[http://www.cs.uu.nl/wiki/FP/WebHome][Functional Programming]], Sept-Nov * [[http://www.cs.uu.nl/wiki/TC/WebHome][Languages and Compilers]], Nov-Feb By following these courses you will get an excellent opportunity to see what we are teaching, whether you like the way we teach and whether you like the concepts taught. Having done these courses also gives you a wider range of choices in your master program since the time spent by following these courses becomes available as a free choice for two other courses. The courses also are an excellent preparaton for the highly-valued AFP Summer school which we teach at the end of August. This summer school is (almost) free for those who register for our Master program(s). -- Main.DoaitseSwierstra - 19 Mar 2010
