Welcome, new master students! This course is a crash course in two topics:
_Functional Programming_ (FP) and _Languages and Compilers_ (LC). Both are usually
full courses, so there is a lot of material to cover, and we will have to move
swiftly. Please note that this course will rely mainly on self-study!

You will
have to acquire the course materials yourself, and study the materials throughout
the course period. You are strongly advised to stick to the [[Course schedule]],
where for every meeting, the chapters to read and/or the exercises to work on
are listed.

There will be no classic lectures, but regular meetings. At those meetings, we will
discuss your progress, and you will have to opportunity to ask questions that
we will try to answer in the group.
