Research Collaborations
Center
Researchers of the center are all members of the Dutch research school IPA, the [[http://www.win.tue.nl/ipa/][Institute for Programming research and Algorithmics]]. Members of the Center are involved in the international IFIP working group 2.1, amongst whose members are researchers from Oxford, Nottingham, Chalmers, the Kestrel research institute (USA), New York University, Braga (Portugal), and Indiana. Students from the master program do their Master Thesis project either in relation to the research program of the Software Technology group, or with one of the many software companies in the neighbourhood of Utrecht (which includes Amsterdam and Eindhoven). Collaborative research projects exits with the Dutch Open University (application of generic programming in software for automatically providing feedback during teaching) and with the Department of Philosophy on the efficient implementation of functional languages. With respect to the further development of the Utrecht Haskell Compiler we collaborate with the University de la Plata in Montevideo (Marcos Viera, Alberto Pardo), with the UFMG in Belo-Horizonte (Carlos Camarao and Lucilia de Figueiredo), and of course the whole friendly and cooperative Haskell community.
