XML Tools Functional programming is largely concerned with two things, trees and types; and XML is a notation for writing trees and types. A functional programming language like Haskell is therefore well suited for building XML tools.

Project in this theme will typically involve implementing tools for the Semantic Web, Schema, XQL, etc.
