There are a couple of important conferences in the area of functional programming, amongst which:

• International Conference on Functional Programming (ACM), with its proceedings
• IFL, of which the proceedings are published in the LNCS series.
• POPL: Annual Symposium on Principles of Programming Languages
• PPDP: International Conference on Principles and Practice of Declarative Programming
• Haskell Workhop

Other Functional Languages

• Clean, a very efficient lazy implemented functional language from Dutch origin.
• ML is the standard, statically typed, non-lazy functional language
