In this talk I will give an overview of the programming language D.
This relatively new language is supposed to be a "better alternative"
to C and C++. Instead of explaining all D concepts and language
constructs, the presentation will focus on two main aspects:
readability/cleanliness of D code, and performance of compiled D
programs (by means of some examples). The presentation will end with
my conclusion and a brief look at the future of D.
