Date: 2006-08-28 Time: 10.30 Room: BBL room 416 ----+++ Speaker: [[Students.Huanwen Qu][Huanwen Qu]] ----+++ Title: Interactive Loop Parallelization for C Programs (master's thesis defense) ----+++ Abstract It has been years since Philips introduced the successful media processor <nop>TriMedia which is capable of processing audio, video, graphics and communication-data at the same time. Now the new generation media processor of Philips, the Wasabi processor, integrates multiple <nop>TriMedia chips in a single package in order to avoid increasing the complexity of one chip. To fully exploit the multi-core processor, we need to adjust the existing media codes and suit them to the new platform. In my thesis, I present a tool that relieves the application programmer of some his manual work and assists him in the process of parallelization.
