Date: 2009-11-26 Time: 11:00 Room: BBL room 471 ----+++ Speaker: Paul van der Ende ----+++ Title: Creating webapplications using Haskell ----+++ Abstract Web applications are becoming more important every day, and will play an even larger role in the future. So as a Haskell developer we need a good way to create applications that interact with the world wide web. We will look at a few relevant libraries: The Happstack framework provides us with the functionality to process HTTP requests. We will also look at HSX, this preprocessor makes it possible for literal XML syntax to be used in Haskell source code. For having easy persistency in our web applications we look at the Happstack-State library.
