*Registration is now closed*
---+++ How much is the registration fee? There is a regular fee of 340 Euro, and a reduced fee of 280 Euro for Master students and !PhD students. If you want to apply for the latter, select the right fee when you register. We do expect you to send a letter of your !PhD supervisor or a copy of your student card (in PDF form), before we can accept you to the symposium for the student fee. Make sure to send us this information in all haste and August 1 2010 at the latest by sending us a PDF of the required document. The PDF must be sent to [[mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org][this e-mail address]]. ---+++ What does the registration fee cover? The registration fee includes lunches, refreshments, dinner on all three nights, the social event, the post-symposium proceedings published by Springer. At the dinners on first and third evening only the first drink is included. The social event dinner is all-in. We have decided not to include housing and breakfast in the fee. This allows participants to make up their own mind about where they are staying. Look [[Accommodation][here]] for more details on where you might stay. To foster lively discussions we do hope that most of you will choose to stay at Avifauna. If you want a quick look at the hotel, there is a picture over [[Venue][here]]. Rooms at the hotel adjacent to Avifauna can be booked directly through Avifauna. Contact Suzanne Oldenburg via e-mail (email@example.com) to reserve a room. *Suzanne is on holidays until the 23rd of August, so please contact Marja Hillebrand at firstname.lastname@example.org).* Do not forget to mention that you're a participant of IFL 2010. We have negotiated the following prices for rooms at Avifauna: * 1 person room: 72,50 Euro * 2 person room: 105,00 Euro * 3 person room: 117,50 Euro * 4 person room: 145,00 Euro * 5 person room: 162,50 euro All prices include breakfast, but exclude tourist tax at 1,00 Euro per night per person. In other words, you can save quite a bit of money by sharing rooms. It is not possible to simply tell Avifauna that you want to share with someone. Finding people to share a room with is your own responsibility. We currently have an option on 45 rooms: 40 standard rooms (1 or 2 persons), and a few 3, 4 and 5 person rooms. Note that in order to avoid disappointment, it is advised to contact Avifauna as soon as possible. Payment for the room is handled when you are at Avifauna. ---+++ The registration process The Utrecht Summerschool organisation gracefully allows us to use their system for obtaining the IFL 2010 registration fees. However, their system is tailored for summer schools, not for a group of seasoned and graduated researchers. Please, do not be offended by some of the questions you may need to answer. Below, I shall remark on some of these so that you may know what to answer. The protocol is relatively simple: click on the link at the bottom of this page, create a user account, apply for the course, and after you have gotten the message that we have accepted your application, you should login again with your user account and make the payment. The course for which you need to register is *H21 Symposium on Implementation and Application of Functional Languages* Make note of the following when entering the required information when you create your account: * all items marked * need to be filled in * when entering your phone number, you may only use digits (no + or spaces) * enter 1/1/<2006 as your date of graduation (or your actual graduation date if you feel like it and it is recent enough) * enter Computer Science as your major field. * ignore any information about combinations and further discounts. They do not apply for IFL. If you have any dietary wishes or other things we should know, you can enter these details in the Comments field of the course application form. You cannot enter such information when you create the user account. Payments can be made by creditcard or wire transfer. If you live within the EU, we prefer you to use a wire transfer, since that reduces costs for us. ---++++ Activation email After you first create the user account, you are supposed to receive an email which contains information on how to activate your account. Several people have reported not receiving this email, and therefore not being able to continue the registration process. If this happens to you, please contact us via the email [[mailto:email@example.com][firstname.lastname@example.org]]. *Newsflash: as of July 23 afternoon the mail facility should work again. Should you, however, still encounter problems regarding not receiving mails, please contact us as soon as possible.* ---+++ To the registration page If you have read all of the above, and want to start registration [[http://www.utrechtsummerschool.nl/index.php?type=application][CLICK HERE]]. After arriving on the page, choose the course listed above, perform the check, and start with Step 1: create a user account (unless you already happen to have one, of course). -- Main.JurriaanHage - 30 Jun 2010
