The Organization & Information group organizes a PhD colloquium that aims to bring together PhDs and academic staff to discuss topics related to doing PhD research. Among the topics that are discussed are for example the process of doing PhD research, research methods and paper writing. But the colloquium is also intended as a networking opportunity among PhDs as many of our PhDs are also employed at a company or running their own company. Finally, the PhD colloquium can serve as a sounding board for individual PhDs as they can present their work to their peers and receive feedback.
The PhD colloquium is open to all PhD students of the Organization & Information group and takes place four times a year. Meetings are always on Wednesday and start at 9.30 am and end at 12.00 pm. After that you can decide to have an informal lunch together but that is up to you.
Schedule for the PhD colloquium in academic year 2011-2012 is:
28 September 2011
23 november 2011
29 februari 2012
