MBI student Robbert Kuster wins NEVI-thesis prize

On 15th of December 2011, at the International Supply Management Congress in Amsterdam RAI, Master of Business Informatics student Robbert Kusters has been awarded the NEVI-thesis prize. The NEVI is a very large professional association for purchasers in organizations. With the prize-winning he has shown being able to write the best thesis in the Netherlands on the topic of (e-)purchasing and supply management in 2011. The thesis was entitled 'Collaborative Purchasing for Hospitals: IT for addressing collaborative horizontal purchasing impediments', and deals about possible collaboration between hospitals on purchasing goods and services, and how IS/IT could address the many problems associated with this. Robert was praised by the jury for his solid scientific approach and for the practical value of his research results. Robert performed his research in cooperation with Negometrix, an ICT-vendor supporting purchasing and sourcing processes. He was supervised by associate professors Johan Versendaal and Remko Helms.
