Hans Philippi
Hans is assistant professor at Utrecht University, Department of
Information and Computing Sciences, since august 1990. He has studied
Mathematics at Utrecht University, with Physics and Computer Science as
secondary disciplines.
During several years, education was his primary task at the Department. He has developed and taught several courses related to database technology. He was the advisor of numerous M.Sc. students in both practical and theoretical projects. Currently, he is doing research in the area of applied database technology, especially database support for string applications in the bioinformatics domain.
