Notes:
We used a simple black and white film, the same we use for our preservation films. We decided that main purpose of the digital copy was legibility. The choice for black and white was wrong. It proved almost impossible to enhance the image quality. Although we needed to make the text fully machine readable, we still wanted to show the images as well.
