| Contents: | The course Computer Animation will discuss a variety of topics related to computer animation, such as: motion capture, blending, (inverse) kinematics, physics-based animation, and more. Furthermore, there will also be a few guest lectures by experts in the field. |
| Literature: | A selection of papers handed out during the course. |
| Course form: | The course will consist of a combination of lectures by the teacher, and presentations by the participants of the course about a given research topic. During the course, participants will also make a short animation movie in teams. Finally, the participants have to write an essay about a predefined animation research topic, such as facial animation, body animation, gestures, motion concatenation, and more. |
| Exam form: | The final grade will consist of the grade for the presentation (20%), the grade for the movie (20%), and the grade for the essay (60%). |
| Minimum effort to qualify for 2nd chance exam: | In order to qualify for a second chance exam, the original grade should be at least 4 and all the parts of the course (movie, presentation, essay) have to be handed in. |
