Seminar Computer animation

Contents:The Seminar Computer Animation will focus on a selection of relevant animation-oriented papers. We will look at common animation techniques related to motion capturing, kinematics, interpolation and so on. Also, a visit to the motion capture lab at the university will be organised.

This seminar mainly explores the technical issues involved with computer animation. There is also another course available that follows an information science perspective, by looking at topics such as traditional animation (cartoons), interactive storytelling and rich media.
Literature:A selection of research papers.
Course form:The course will consist of discussions and presentations by the participants.
Exam form:The grading will be based on the presence of the participants in the discussions and the quality of the presentations. Also, a literature study will be performed on a chosen topic.
Minimum effort to qualify for 2nd chance exam:Om aan de aanvullende toets te mogen meedoen moet de oorspronkelijke uitslag minstens 4 zijn.
