|Contents:||In this course we will explore the way agent technology can be used for games. We will discuss how characters in games can be made more realistic by adding emotions, social awareness and team behaviour.
It will have an interactive character where we will read articles and students will also present both from literature and their own work during the course. After the course the student will have knowledge about the possibilities of using agent technology for game engines and also some of the current limitations.
Note: it is not a course about machine learning, intelligent path planning or strategy learning for gaming!
|Literature:||Literature consists of papers that will be put online during the course.|
|Course form:||The course will consist of a number of lectures and lectures by students. Besides the lectures students will work on a project in which they use agents for a particular game.|
|Exam form:||The course is evaluated through the project work and the participation in class.|
