Inhoud:

Introduction to Image Processing ('Inleiding Beeldverwerking') offers the basic knowledge needed for any manipulation of digital images, amongst which are simple grey value operations (for example for image enhancement and object extraction) and simple spatial operations (for example for object boundary extraction and geometric image transformation.)
The language of the course is English.

Literatuur:

Reader, lecture notes and exercises are provided on the course website. A printed version of the reader is available at the student desk.
Practical assignment will be handed out.

Werkvorm:

Lectures with in-class exercises.
Mandatory lab work (2x) and individual assignment (1x).

Toetsvorm:

The final grade is calculated as follows, where P1 and P2 represent the two practicals, A represents the individual assignment and E represents the final exam:
IBV = ( P1 + P2 + 2 * A + 6 * E ) / 10

Inspanningsverplichting voor aanvullende toets:

Om aan de aanvullende toets te mogen meedoen moet de oorspronkelijke uitslag minstens 4 zijn.
