Graduation and registration

To receive your Master's degree certificate, you have to register for graduation. First you have to fill out a form with your master's program. The graduate advisor of your master's program has to sign this form. You can download this form here. Please note that your graduate advisor might not always be available, so it is advisable to have this form signed well before your application.

Register for graduation at the:
Students desk, BBL 184b, Princetonplein 5

Bring the following items:

  1. The signed form with your master's program
  2. Your passport
The date on your diploma (degree certificate), will be the last working day of the month in which you submitted the request for your examination at the students desk. You can only submit the request, when all grades are known at the administration.

The Board of Examiners will decide in a meeting if you have fulfilled all obligations for graduation, and if this is the case, conclude that you passed the exam. The Board of Examiners meets ten times a year. Your degree certificate will be handed out to you during a graduation ceremony. There are five of these sessions planned during the academic year. If you cannot attend this ceremony, you can get your diploma at the students desk, Minnaert 119, two days after a meeting of the Board of Examinations. The ceremony takes place in In "Het Academygebouw", Domplein 1, Utrecht It is a public ceremony. Friends and family are welcome.

After the ceremony the Departement of Information and Computing Sciences offers a drink to you and your guests.
