January 25
For both the consultancy assignment as well as the research paper we ask you to hand in a description of the division of the work and a notice of originality. You can use this template and add it as an extra page to your assignments.

A few groups sent some extra situational factors that they missed in their first assessment. The benchmark file is updated with this data.

The submission of Friday January 13 should be done via the EasyChair system. Everyone received an invitation to EasyChair. Please click on the link on the email you received and check whether it works. If not: email Tommy.
The link where you should submit your research assignment is: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=spm2012 Only one person of each group has to make the submission, but he/she should indicate in the Easychair system who his or her co-authors are.
Please hand in the whole paper, so not only results, analysis & conclusions, but also the earlier parts. Also, make sure you follow the Springer tempalte and include your team number and the names of the authors on the paper.
January 8
The exam will consist of multiple choice questions and open questions. Five example questions can be downloaded here.
December 21
The slides and lecture notes of todays lecture are online. On slide 19 of the presentation, the figures were indeed incorrect, but now they are correct. I also added some information to the slide of typical questions for which the overviews can be used for.
I forgot to present some slides on portfolio analysis models. They are included in the uploaded slides and the lecture notes but I will also try to present them on Friday since you might want to use them in your assignment.
December 19
We prepared a benchmark set of 40 cases, which you can download here. The data origins from the SPM courses and from case studies we carried out. In the excelfile you can also find which case corresponds to your group. We prepared a first analysis of the capability results. Feel free to select sub sets of the data set and to run your own statistical tests. Not all groups have submitted their complete list of situational factors. As soon as you have the full set: mail them to Inge. Deadline is Friday December 23, 13.00h.
December 9
When you email the assignment for today, please don't forget to also include the excelfile.
December 8
As announced during the lecture yesterday: the lecture of tomorrow morning (Friday) starts at 10.00h.
November 25
The research presentation schedule is published.
I already mentioned this in the lecture, but it is not so clear on the website: today's assignments should be emailed to Inge.
November 23
Today's lecture is online. On the research assignment page, you can read all research topics that were presented in class.
Students that are not available on one of the presentation dates (see schedule): email Tommy (address in today's presentation). This also holds for the students that already emailed me about it, because I lost one of the emails and don't remember from whom it was.
November 18
Today's lecture is online. Furthermore, the SPM Excel sheet and list of capabilities can be downloaded from the on the consultancy assignment page.
November 17
The slides and lecture notes of the first lecture are online. Furthermore, the groups are published. Please note that people who were not present at the first lecture and did not email me about that are not assigned to a group. We asume that you do not take part in this course.
A notice on accessing the literature and slides: You can download the literature by clicking on the link that is provided with each paper. To be able to access most papers, you need to be logged on to the university network, either by using a computer of the ICS department, or by logging in via VPN or MyUU. Some of the literature, the lecture notes, and the lecture slides are accessible via BSCW. The procedure to get access to BSCW is:
- Register for the course in Osiris
- Try to login with your Solis ID
- If you cannot login the first time, try it again after 30 minutes.
- If and only if you followed the steps described above, and you still do not have access: send an email to Sandor Spruit and ask him to give you access. In the meantime, ask your fellow classmates to email you the BSCW-files.
