[May 15, 2013] The solutions to the exercises of lecture 8 are available on the curriculum page. Next session is dedicated to the written exam (on Monday May 27 from 9:00 to 12:00 in EDUC-BETA). Calculators and official formulas sheets are allowed and even advised (but bring your own). Phones, books, personal notes and computers are NOT allowed (so no calculator on a phone). [May 14, 2013] The time table for the literature study presentations has been published on the study page. Remember that on the same page you will find templates and guidelines to help you to prepare your essay and presentation. Attendance to the presentation sessions is mandatory for everyone. [May 13, 2013] If your literature study proposal is not listed at the end of the study page, please contact me asap. The solutions to the exercises of lecture 7 are available on the curriculum page. These exercises are good practice for the exam. If you need confirmation that the exercise 7.1 can be solved directly using the scaling factor of the magnitude of impulse j, I have prepared a second version of the solution to exercise 7.1. [May 8, 2013] The solutions to the exercises of lecture 6 are available on the curriculum page. [May 6, 2013] The solutions to the exercises of lecture 5 are available on the curriculum page. [May 1, 2013] The solutions to the exercises of lecture 4 are available on the curriculum page. Try to solve them before looking at the solutions. To avoid that multiple pairs of students propose the same literature study, I will publish on the study page the proposals that I have received and approved. Before submitting yours be sure that none of your three papers is already taken by another pair of students. [April 29, 2013] To give you enough time to prepare for the retake, the deadline to submit the practical assignment has been moved to Thursday June 27, at 12:00. The solutions to the exercises of lectures 1-2-3 are available on the curriculum page. Students who are still looking for partners are invited to contact the teacher asap. [April 26, 2013] As we will not have the time to correct every exercise during the lectures, the solutions (and not only the final answers) will be published on the curriculum page after each lecture. You are strongly encouraged to solve the exercises at home without the solutions first. [April 25, 2013] The curriculum has been updated to accomodate for the number of participants. We will have six study presentation sessions, and the assignment presentations are moved one week earlier. The retake exam has been moved from August to the exam week at the end of the period. The deadline for the submission of the assignment is unchanged (but now after the presentations). An new deadline has been added on May 31, by which you have to submit the list of the members of the team for the practical assignment, along with the tasks you plan to implement. If you haven't register for the course on Osiris yet, I urge you to do so asap. [April 24, 2013] If you have not found partners yet (either for the literature study or the practical assignment), during the lecture break on Monday, we will have a team making session. So please attend Monday's lecture if you want to find partners. [April 22, 2013] As expected, as the number of participants to the course is still growing, the number of sessions and the size of the groups have been modified. Now, the study has to be done by pairs of students and the practical assignment by groups of 4 to 5 students. The number of research paper presentation sessions (and therefore the dates for the assignment presentation sessions) will be indicated later this week (when the final number of participants will be known). [April 16, 2013] The content of the course and this website is now more or less definitive, some details will be defined when the final number of participants will be known (number of presentation sessions, size of the teams etc.). The first lecture will take place on Monday April 22, 2013 at 9:00 in BBL-083. [January 23, 2013] Creation of the webpage for the academic year 2012/2013. As the course is entirely revised this year, the content of the course and this website are still under construction. More information will be added regularly.
