Welcome

Welcome to the website of the course Game Design. The course on game design is taught in the 2nd period from November 9, 2009 until January 29, 2010. The teacher is Arno Kamphuis. Additional assistance and grading is provided by Arjan Egges. The course will be taught in English. There are two, weekly, meetings:

  • Monday 9-11, lecture room: Minnaert 211
  • Wednesday 11-13, lecture room: Aardwetenschappen Klein

The first meeting is on Monday November 9, 2009.

The course is essentially the same as last year. There will be more emphasis on the design aspects and less on the technical aspects (which are treated in other courses). However, the assignments have been changed slightly.

The course can be followed as part of the minor Game en Media Technologie or as a specialization course in the master program Game and Media Technology (GMT). There are no prerequisites for the course although a general background in computer science, programming, and graphics is required.
